DAVE BRINNEL

Piano, Key Bass, Vocals, Harmonica

Dave Brinnel began playing the piano in high school, but never found time for lessons.  A self taught player and singer, Dave's major influences include Sinatra, Harry Nilsson, The Beatles, Hank Williams, both Elvises, and Dr. John.  Prone to cracking a few jokes throughout the night, Dave has been a staple in the local bar scene since 1979.  In the 1980's he performed with popular area band Jumpstreet. The 1990's saw him in the role of Dave in the Morning, radio personality on the now defunct WRNX.  In addition, Dave has been running a full-time TV production business since 1989, Dave's Creative, producing countless commercials and videos.  From 2007 - 2012, Dave had the honor of appearing in area venues with his daughter Hailey, who now performs in Philadelphia.  Both she and Dave's son Paul have been known to sit in when in town. Dave's favorite song to perform: "Currently it's the theme to Underdog, but that might change."

PETE THOMSEN

Drums, Guitar, Vocals, Harmonica

Pete Thomsen began playing drums and singing in the New York City area in high school. His first band included his friend Rupert Holmes, now famous for the Pina Colada song and the Broadway musical Mystery of Edwin Drood.  After attending the Crane School of Music and playing with another great New York band, Double Axel, he came to Springfield.  Peter Thomsen became a teacher and administrator, helping to build the Grammy Award winning Longmeadow Music Program and playing in the well known duo Thomsen and Hamilton.  Today he has a serious voice teaching practice both locally and online with students as far away as Brazil.  Many of his students like Aaron Lewis and Meghann Fahy have gained notoriety as recording artists, composers, actors and Broadway singers.  Pete and Dave are long time friends, which makes their music making all the more fun!
